Our Standards...

Farmlay Eggs strive to offer the best quality possible at all times and our promise to you is guaranteed by our membership of a number of key industry standards

We have attained Grade A membership of the British Retail Consortium, a standard which is demanded by our discerning customers. In 1998 the BRC, responding to industry needs, developed and introduced the BRC Food Technical Standard to be used to evaluate manufacturers of retailers own brand food products. In a short space of time, this Standard became invaluable to other organisations across the sector. It was and still is regarded as the benchmark for best practice in the food industry.

We are also strong supporters of the BEIC Lion scheme and the RSPCA Freedom Food scheme. In order to retain these accreditations we are annually audited to strict standards by these external bodies. The Lion logo is printed on every egg that passes through our packing station.

We have our own in-house HAACP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) team and are independantly audited on our systems. This standard covers three main areas of food safety - Food Microbiology, Qualty Control and Risk Assessment.
