All Fresh. All Good. All Egg.

Our Hens & Eggs

Fresh is best!

At farmlay, we’re committed to making sure our eggs are enjoyed as fresh as they can possibly be.

We work to our core belief in ensuring the best conditions for our hens because we know this gives us better eggs.

We manage every stage of the process, from day old chicks  to the delivery of our eggs, so you can rest assured that not only do Farmlay eggs taste great, they have been produced with a proven commitment to the highest levels of bird welfare.

Most of our egg production lies within 30 minutes of our farm, so we collect, pack and despatch in as short a time as possible. By using our own transport fleet, we can make absolutely sure the freshest eggs reach our customers and their customers too

The taste?

The test of a great egg is in the taste – and you can taste the farmlay quality.

We use only the finest vegetarian ingredients in the feed we mix on our farms to make sure we provide you with the finest, full flavoured eggs. (You don’t need to take our word for it, our eggs have been recognised in many national awards for taste and quality).

We provide client branded or farmlay brand eggs from free range, organic and enriched colony systems.

Our Eggs Are Fantastic!

We want you to enjoy the great taste of our lion quality eggs which is why we go to great lengths to ensure our egg production facilities are spick and span.

Don’t take our word for it, we’re anually audited by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and continue to strive for nothing less than grade A membership, a benchmark for best practice in the food industry.

We’re also regularly audited by the British Egg Industry Council (BEIC) as well as by some of our biggest clients, when we’re not being audited by everyone else, we audit ourselves too!

All of our staff are trained in food safety and hygiene practices for food manufacturing processes although, using state of the art technology allows us to ensure that your eggs are never touched by human hands after a UV disinfection routine.

We have our own in-house HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) team and are independently audited on our systems. This standard covers three main areas of food safety – Food Microbiology, Quality Control and Risk Assessment.
